Crawley District Cubs Visit Parliament

On the first day of the Easter Holidays a group of Cubs from across the district met in London to Visit the Houses of Parliament.

The cubs, accompanied by their parents, visited the medieval Westminster Hall, saw a real Baronett, voted Aye in the division hall and got to stand in both the House of Lords and on the Government benches in the House of commons.

The cubs asked lots of interesting questions as they learnt about the history of the building, our democracy and how parliament works.

They were all really engaged, loved looking around and came away learning more.

Other events like these are being planned as Crawley Cubs get once in a lifetime experiences.
